SCREAMO!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm officially old.. I went to a punk/indie/hardcore show... My ears actually hurt and I felt a little death when I left. There were some characters to mention.. First, I was sure to have nightmares from the second bands back up singer, that sounded like the devil and did nothing but scream in his deepest scariest voice over the other vocalists. My friend said that he is one of those people that eventually people will say "he seemed so nice we cant understand why he chopped up his family and ate them!"

Then there was the scary black hooded sweatshirt hemale.. tight black jeans, hood up and smoking his cigarette between his pinky and ring finger... WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!

then there was the girl that was wearing the 1/2 top in emergency orange with the not so cute body rocking the emergency orange hightop Reebok's.. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so this concludes the idea that I'm officially old, I guess i cant be "with the band" anymore.

Splendours in being a kid again!

So Saturday I officially lived just like a kid again. Wow, how renewing it is for ones soul! I started off the day going to Animal Kingdom. I was like a kid in a candy store. My sister in law went into guest services and even got me a pin that i wore on my purse all day stating that it was my 1st visit! I ran through the park wide eyed in amazement at all the amazing animals and took a ton of pictures.. I was enjoying the safari, and shows so much it was almost like I lost track in time.. I bought one of my favorite summer treats, frozen pink lemonade slushie.. It takes me back to the time that the best friend and I had lemon shakeups at a fair and decided we could master it at home.. We were on a lemon shake up frenzy for weeks.. mixing our lemon juice, sugar, ice and water. Those frozen lemon drinks take me back! After the splendour of the day in the park it was time to go open and rest, (hubby had a headache, amazing how the parks instantly do that do him) . After missing my morning workout routine I felt much too guilty to actually let myself take a nap.

Then to end a great kid day, I went next door where the neighbors were having a 6 year olds birthday party with a bounce house and I jumped with the kids for about 30 minutes.. This was long enough for me. Have you been in one of these? Do you know how hot they get? Have you smelled sweaty little kids... I was one of them, even if only for a day!

Rainy Fridays..

Well we are on about day 5 of rain, will it ever stop? Its Friday and I was up at 4:45 ready to rock and roll on my workout program. Today I'm thankful that I lost another pound and that I have made it to week 9 of this satanic workout! I'm not even remotely close to my weight and health goals but I must remember it is one day at a time and that Rome wasn't built in a day! Today I will not let stress overwhelm me and control my day. I will remain focused on work and giving clients the service that they have come to know and expect.

Have you ever known that Big frogs protect baby frogs? I saw the craziest green frog on my porch last night and he was in the door jam. My husband nudged him so that he wouldn't be crushed and when he jumped off a little baby froggy jumped out from underneath him. For a moment I forgot that frogs lay eggs and have tadpoles so I screamed "WOW, it was giving birth to a little baby frog" Thank goodness for a more sensible husband to remind me I'm crazy and that frogs don't give birth to baby frogs! Whew, guess I should have finished that college degree!
